We hear this word “mindfulness” being thrown around quite a bit lately, and as mental health comes to the forefront of conversation, it’s important to understand what it means when people are talking about mindfulness & mindfulness meditation. It’s difficult to create a true definition in words, as different blogs, apps and websites may see a slight variation of it, however in a general sense, practicing mindfulness is something that you can use to gently bring your mind back to to being fully present in the moment. Here is an example, which you may have noticed while the world was on quarantine; Your may notice that your mind begins to wander. Quickly, these small wandering day dreams may take us into a world of our thoughts. This can be fun, exciting, and enjoyably creative at times…while other times may be just the opposite. We lose our sense of body and self, and become drowned in obsessive thoughts about a situation, the future, and with what seems like never-never-ending rumination, anxiety begins to set in. Practicing mindfulness allows us to realize when we are doing this, whether positive or negative, then gently and consciously brining our mind back to being fully present – our breathing, our physical sensations, auditory sensations etc.
We all have the access to mindfulness, but it takes practice. While practicing mindfulness and mindfulness meditation has been shown to have many benefits such as increased focus, self awareness and empathy, stress reduction, less reactivity, and many other benefits – it’s best to not focus on the benefits, but instead just become absorbed in the journey and develop a genuine curiosity in your own mind. For some this may sound scary, but with patience & practice, it may be a hidden unlock to an elevated version of YOU.
Because of this, we’re so excited to have Gelareh Ghafooripoor guiding us through a 21-Day Abundance Challenge.

Who Am I? What I Believe In?
Hi! My name is Gelareh Ghafooripoor and I am a registered Occupational Therapist, certified PersonalTrainer, and Level 1 & 2 Reiki Practitioner. I am passionate about helping others and truly believe the keyto good health is based on focusing on all aspects of “oneself”- the physical, the mental, the emotional, and the spiritual levels of existence. In order to find balance, completeness, and fulfillment in our lives,we need to heal, develop, and integrate all four of these aspects within ourselves.
What Is My Intention?
I would like to guide the community through a 21-Day Abundance Challenge. Why? Many of us have found ourselves with more time to reflect lately. As times are uncertain in our external environment, it isthe perfect time to go within to find peace and abundance. I have gone through this challenge twice andfeel that it has given me clarity, control and changed my personal state of mind in a positive way. Dailyreflections have allowed me to break down those internal personal limiting beliefs. I want to be able to share this with those around me, because it has helped me significantly. What is the 21-Day Abundance Challenge? A challenge where you complete daily exercises in a journal and complete a meditation and daily mantra, presented by Deepak Chopra. By doing it in a group, wehold each other accountable and also create a stronger force field than doing it alone. We raise ourconsciousness together with the focus on abundance.I will be posting the challenge for each day before midnight the day prior. You have all day to finish thischallenge. This challenge will be conducted in a private Facebook Group. To hold each other accountableand share our experience, please write a comment below each day’s challenge saying “done” or “check-mark emoji” or whatever you please! Feel free to include a comment about your experience with theexercises. Also, feel free to add friends or family to the group…everyone is welcome!
